Coronado Beach

Our last full day of vacation was spent at the beach.  We went to Coronado beach and played all day.  The day started off overcast and a little chilly but it eventually warmed up and the sun broke through.  Despite the cooler temperature, we still went in the water and splashed around. It was the girls first time playing in the ocean and Chloe loved it. Abby wasn't too sure about the water but she did love playing in the sand.

We mainly spent the day digging in the sand and searching for shells and for the girls, that was enough! Aaron dug a big hole and we buried him in it.  We also convinced Chloe and Abby to let us bury them as well.  Abby didn't like it too much, but Chloe thought it was fun.

Abby just threw sand into Aaron face in this picture. I thought it was too funny not to post =).

After the beach, we went back to the hotel and got cleaned up for dinner. We found a cute little place with ocean front dining and were able to eat and watch the sunset over the ocean.  The restaurant was by Ocean beach and so after dinner we walked around for a bit and watched some surfers.  It was a great way to end the trip.

San Diego Zoo

When we were deciding what to do in San Diego we debated over going to Sea World or the Zoo.  We figured that our kids would like the zoo better and we were right.  The girls loved seeing all the animals- the whole time Abby kept making the animals sounds and saying hi and bye to them.

We really enjoyed the zoo because the animals were more active than the Salt Lake Zoo's and we got to see  a bunch of animals eating. It was crazy to just watch the tiger gnaw on bones and think "I'm glad that isn't me".

I also liked the zoo because in each enclosure they tried to plant plants that were from the animals natural habitat.  I found these flowers and just had to take a few shots of them.

We literally spent the whole day there and just barely made it to every animal. The kids also thought the petting zoo was cool and they got to pet goats and sheep.  We were all exhausted by the end of the day, which in my book qualifies for a great day =)

Disneyland

On Tuesday, we took the kids to Disneyland for their very first time.  Aaron was hesitant to take them because he thought they would be to little to enjoy it, but by the end of the day, we had him convinced that this trip was well worth it.

We started off the day by going on "It's a Small World" and then headed straight over to meet the Princesses'.  Chloe and Abby got some one-on-one time with Sleeping Beauty, Bell, and Jasmine.  Chloe loved getting to meet them all and have them sign her autograph book.

After the Princesses', we went on tons of rides and had a blast! Chloe came skipping off of each ride and was ready to go again.  Both kids did great waiting in lines and they only got scared on "Pirates of the Caribbean".

We also went in Tarzan's tree house and got to meet Micky Mouse and see his house.

One of the kids favorite part of the day was the parade. They kept peeking around the people next to us to see who/what was coming up next.  It was also great because Chloe got to see the rest of the Princesses' that she didn't get a chance to meet.

Then to finish up the day, we watched the fireworks and the World of Color show. I though that the show was amazing and it was a great way to end a wonderful day.  We were all exhausted by the end of the night, but it was a day that we will never forget.
