In 29 days....

In 29 days I will officially become a full time stay at home mom. Not just because school will be out for the summer, but because I have turned in my resignation papers and will not be returning to teaching. Aaron and I have decided that it is time for me to stay home with our little munchkin and just be a mom.

I am so excited to be able to stay home, but it is going to be a big transition for me. I have been teaching for 6 years now and it truly is something that I love to do. Someone asked me the other day if I felt like I am throwing my education away and I said "Of course not". I am going to be able to take all the things I have learned and apply it to becoming teacher of my children (no not announcing any thing there by saying children, just writing in future tense).

Anyways, I am excited and can't wait to officially be a stay at home mom.

Organization

Chloe has always loved to help me put the laundry away and help fold the clothes. She would pick out all of her clothes and even sort out some of mom and dad's clothes. She has recently started to organize her drawer and fold and refold all of her clothes.

So today, she pulled all her clothes, folded them and put them neatly back in place. However, the funny thing was that before she put them away she sorted them all out: shirts, shorts and skirts, leggings, and jeans/pants . I mean who is this kid! She is only two!

Here she is showing off her nice, neat drawer.

Prima Ballerina

Chloe has decided that she can only dance while in a dress. If she has the desire to dance, she will run up to her room, throw off her clothes, and toss on a dress/skirt. When Grandma found out about this, she just had to buy Chloe a little tutu and leotard shirt. Thanks Grandma!

She looked so cute all decked out in her outfit that I just couldn't help myself from taking pictures of her. She is definitely going to be a dancer or singer when she grows up. Here are some pictures of our little prima ballerina and a video of her dancing and singing. Sorry it's sideways, I always forget that camcorders are not like cameras.

Where are you?

Chloe: "Mommy, where are you?"
Me: "In mommy and daddy's room. Where are you?"
Chloe: "I'm in here."

So, I go to where her little voice is coming from, look around and hear, "In here!"

I look down and and this is what I found.

I had just taken some laundry out and was putting the clothes in our room before switching the load and Chloe took the opportunity to climb in the dryer for a quick sit. I called for Aaron and as we stood there laughing, Chloe said, "It's nice and warm in here."

What a character! Our lives wouldn't be nearly as much fun without her.

My Sisters!

This post is dedicated to my lovely sisters who I love and admire so much. I was thinking the other day how lucky I am to have my best friends be my sisters. I know it may seem crazy to some to think about how close we are, but to me it just seems so natural. They have so many qualities the I admire and strive to have more of. Anywhere from how spiritual and loving Tawna is to how caring and determined Amber is. Mindy I love you too (sorry you weren't in the picture, it was from Easter.)

Anyways, I could go on and on about all the amazing qualities that my sisters have but that would take a whole day to write and would be way too long of a post. I just want my sisters to know that I love them so much and want to thank them for all they teach me.

Happy Easter!

We actually celebrated Easter last Saturday with my family due to the fact that Tawna was in town and we wanted to have an Easter celebration while she was still here. It was a little windy outside but we still had our egg hunt outside. Chloe knew just what to do and went straight for the candy eggs and started to fill up her basket. We spent the rest of the evening playing games and eating candy!

For some reason, Chloe refused to smile for any of our pictures so this is the best family shot we got.

All the cousins.

When the actual Easter Sunday came along and we woke up to 3 inches of snow, we were glad that we had already had our outside egg hunt. This is what it looked like outside of my window on Sunday morning. Happy Easter to us!

Chloe was excited that the Easter bunny had come to her house, but when we got down stairs, she was disappointed when he was not still there. She looked at me and asked, "Where the Easter bunny go?" I had to explain to her that he was a sneeky bunny and had already left. She was ok with that once she started to find the treats and gifts he left.

My Dad and Kelly came over for dinner and to watch General Conference with us. Since it was Conference and we didn't have to go to church, Chloe didn't get a chance to wear here Easter dress. I will just have to take pictures of her this Sunday instead and then post them later.

Dad and Kelly brought Chloe a little Easter basket with a fun bubble wand in it. Chloe loved it and had fun running up and down the street chasing the bubbles.

Overall, it was a wonderful Easter and it was great to be able to watch Conference and be reminded of the reason why we celebrate Easter and to really focus on Christ and his resurrection.
