One Year Older and Wiser, Too!

Chloe turned one year old on Friday, January 23rd. It is so hard to believe that we have a one year old! It just seems like yesterday that we were bringing her home for the hospital. She has been such a wonderful baby and we feel so blessed to have her in our lives.

For her birthday we had family over to our clubhouse for dinner and dessert. For dinner we had nachos, and as you can see Chloe quite enjoyed eating the guacamole. Her face looks disgusting, but she had a good time.Ever since Christmas, Chloe has loved tearing into presents and her birthday was no exception. She got some cute clothes, fun books, an adorable "little people" Noah's Arc and we got her a toy kitchen. She loved it...and so did all the other kids at the party.
Then it was time for the cake. Most parents wonder if their kids will like "going to town" on their first birthday cake or if they will want nothing to do with it. Well, as you can see in the picture, Chloe loved it! Aaron describes it as, "You know she had a good time when there was frosting and smashed cake on her bum!"We spent the rest of the night hanging out with our family and playing with toys. Thank you to everyone who came and for all the great gifts!

Katie's Family Cabin

This past weekend, we were invited to spend the night at my cousin's wife's family cabin nestled up in Provo Canyon. My grandparents and Aunt Danae were in town as well, so the whole family went up for the night.

We had a nice dinner and then of course played games all night long! It was a lot of fun, even though we ended up not staying the whole night and returned home to sleep in our own warm and cozy bed.

Here are some pictures...

Annual Fowler Tubing Trip

Here are some pictures from our annual Fowler family tubing trip. We had so much fun and Chloe did much better this time...I think the lack of icy wind blasting her in the face helped. My favorite part of the day was when Aaron, Tawna and my Dad made a train going down the hill. They went over a bump and Tawna lost her tube, but since she was in the middle she just held on and kept on going down the hill without a tube. For some reason I don't have a picture of it, but it was classic!
